The Dark Knight Detective
Batman for most of his career in popular culture wore a blue cape, cowl, boots and gloves. Ever since the 1989 film he has been depicted wearing black or dark gray and black in the comics.

The Na'vi
Avatar was quite the visual spectacular. Pandora's native species The Na'vi were a cross between the Thundercats and the Smurfs. I wonder if that was James Cameron's inspiration?
