Alviiinnn!

I missed Theodore in the 'green' phase, so I snuck him into Alvin's picture.

His Name is Gossamer

In case you were wondering (like I was). Anyway, I really liked the way his arms would disappear when they weren't outstretched. They just blend into his body. Genius!

He's Flexible.

I don't know. Something funny to me about Plastic Man carrying cash.

Yia Yia's Jell-O

I have been having cravings for Jell-O lately. My grandmother used to make me red Jell-O all the time— from ages 0-25. I haven't had any in a long while.

RED

I had a lot of fun drawing this one. I couldn't remember if Hellboy had "human" ears or if he had any fangs so I asked LaVonne to look it up and give me a hint. I had to render him in the likeness of the Mike Mignola style though I did put in some of my own styling.

It was recently brought to my attention that it wasn't clear that the drawings on this blog are rendered from memory (I only used a reference for a few of them). Now that I've gotten through almost a third of the project, I've started to notice (looking back) that my rendering of characters is based upon the style of the original and not my own interpretation.

La, la, la-la-la-la…La, la, la-la

My sister used to hog the t.v. for Saturday morning cartoons (even though she denies it!) and she'd subject me to the Smurfs. Here's Papa Smurf.

The Incredible "Rulk"

Red-Hulk introduced in January 2008 adds yet another shade to the Hulk spectrum. Soon there will be a war of the Rainbow Hulks.
