The Ruby Red Slippers from the Wizard of Oz play a supporting role in carrying Dorothy Gale back home to Kansas. A nice pair of actors.

The Red Shirt
The away-team on Star Trek: TOL was always suspect. There was Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and some guy in a red shirt. It was this guy who was always first to find the mysterious creature and meet his ultimate demise. This is my tribute to the red shirt guys. Short lived and not prosperous. For this 170th post on Niko's Ink, I've included the rough pencil drawing.

Steamboat Willie's Star
Some of the more memorable characters are the ones that are the simplest in design. Mickey Mouse has one of the most recognizable silhouettes as well as his color palette. Black, red, yellow and white. Do you remember which part of him in this picture is red?
