This blog is a great idea. I just stumbled on it now and didn't know you were doing this. I think you should do Frankenberry...and Charles Nelson Riley.
Niko’s Ink is a project—a formal outlet—to illustrate characters from pop culture (movies, cartoons, comic books, TV, video games etc.) that have impacted and influenced my imagination. All drawings are on a 2.5 x 3.5 inch card (trading card size), using pen and ink and created from the deep recesses of the photographic visual library within my head. The project is divided into quarters or periods by a color theme. In other words, characters are grouped and drawn based on their association with a color. The first quarter is green, followed by red, blue and yellow (approx. 90 characters in each period). Sounds a bit complicated but it allows me to create whatever I want and share it with you. Parents, please feel free to print any of them out for your children to color and collect. Any comments, suggestions or requests are always welcome. I hope you enjoy the journey.
